Savory Institute & Evergreening Alliance Announce New Partnership

The partnership aims to improve rangeland management in Africa, Australia, and Brazil

The Savory Institute and Evergreening Global Alliance are pleased to announce a new partnership aimed at improving rangeland management across Africa, Australia, and Brazil.

As part of Evergreening Global Alliance’s “Green Up to Cool Down” campaign, the Savory Institute, in conjunction with Hubs from throughout Savory Global Network, will contribute towards the Alliance’s goal of capturing and restoring back to the land 20 billion tons of CO2 annually from the atmosphere by the year 2050.

The Evergreening Alliance works with, and through, a multitude of member organizations, institutions, and governments at the national and sub-national levels across Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, and South-East and South Asia – supporting real collaboration, learning, sharing and harmonization across sectors and borders.

“Savory Institute and the Savory Global Network are excited to join the other partners of the EverGreening Alliance to help change management of the grasslands to address the global crises of desertification, global climate change, and food and water insecurity,” said Daniela Ibarra-Howell, Savory Institute CEO. “It is only through intentional and meaningful local collaborations that we will address these important global challenges. We are excited to explore these collaborations with our Hubs in Africa, Australia, and Brazil, and I am sure many more to come.”
